Sam Nominated for IBMA's 2014 Instrumentalist of the Year for Mandolin

Nominees for the 2014 International Bluegrass Music Awards were announced yesterday during a press conference at Nashville’s Loveless Barn, hosted by Sam Bush and Jim Lauderdale. Sam was once again nominated in the category of Instrumentalist of the Year for Mandolin. Join us in congratulating Sam, already a four-time IBMA Mandolin Player of the Year winner! Award-winners will be revealed at the International Bluegrass Music Awards on Thursday, October 2, hosted by artists Lee Ann Womack and Jerry Douglas. The Awards Show is the centerpiece of IBMA's World of Bluegrass Bluegrass event, to be held September 30-October 4 in Raleigh, NC.

On Friday, October 4, Sam will be performing alongside Béla Fleck, Jerry Douglas, Edgar Meyer, Bryan Sutton & Stuart Duncan for the "Wide Open Jam" on the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival Main Stage. Click here for more information

I agree with Douglas, Elderly Instruments would be a wonderful place for you to come to Michigan and play for your fans. It is the best music store in the Midwest and there are a lot of pickers in the Lansing area.

Please consider it Sam, it would mean a lot to us in the Mitten State.
