Hi Chris, just came across your blog today and I'm livnog it! I'm shooting a wedding on Friday and it's at 3p .not a lot of shade. (This is my first outdoor, mid-day wedding.) I went to the venue last week to do some test shots. Really struggling with the bright sun. I'm finding it a challenge to try and keep the subjects properly exposed without blowing out the background (as in sample photo #2 above). Do you meter for the background or the subject? I'd prefer not to use flash but I think I'm going to have to in order to fill in shadows that or I may use a reflector. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks for all you do in helping us to become better photographers!
